FILIPINO-AUSTRALIAN TEACHERS ASSOCIATION OF QLD INC.

Balikturo Program

"Balikturo" literally means to go back and teach. The Filipino-Australian Teachers of Queensland (FATAQ) raises funds in order to be able to donate educational resources and impart professional knowlege to various schools in need in the Philippines.

FATAQ is sourcing out all possibilities and agencies of generosity from Brisbane as they prepare to give free laptops, books, teaching materials and conduct free professional development seminars to teachers and poor students in the heart of the country's capital Manila and in the Visayan region.

Sometimes donations to the Philippines through third parties linger through the bureaucracy and corruptions of unscrupulous gateways, but doing it through a reliable and worthy organisations such as the FATAQ is a worthy exercise.
